One of my main goals in life is to live unapologetically. I live to take care of others and I tend to sacrifice my own happiness in the process. The word unapologetically doesn’t mean do things with selfish ambition or intention, but to be happy and put my heart forward without reservation.
For instance, I am in a musical theatre production for the first time in about 6 or 7 years and it brings me so much joy. There are drawbacks, just like with anything, it is an outside show and the weather forecast is not promising, my anxiety pitches when I am backstage amongst the chaos, I haven’t been getting enough sleep, etc. But, instead of harping on all of these things and treating minor inconveniences as major problems, I choose to enjoy the moment and be grateful for the opportunity to do something I genuinely love.
